Single-Sided Neon Can Sign with Porcelain Enamel

After countless requests from those who appreciate true craftsmanship and quality, we’re proud to introduce our Neon Can Signs with Porcelain Enamel.

There’s something about real vintage neon that sets it apart from everything else. And that’s exactly what we’ve captured. Yes, there are plenty of neon signs available today, but let’s be honest—most of them aren’t real neon. They’re LED strips, plastic tubing, and acrylic backings with stickers.

Some might say, "it’s all the same," but those aren’t the people we’re making these for. These signs are for those who value quality, craftsmanship, and supporting American small business.

There's only one way to capture the essence of those vintage neon's we all know and love; it's all in the details. You can’t cut corners and the materials matter. It's a grueling, time-consuming process that only a handful of people in the world that can execute it well. That's why you don't see genuine neon being sold at Walmart.

That’s why each of our neon signs is crafted with genuine hand-blown glass tubes—heated, bent, and shaped by skilled artisans just like the originals. This isn’t LED flex or plastic tubing. Each glass tube is vacuum-sealed and filled with real neon gas, producing a glow that nothing else can replicate.

Despite all our searching, we couldn’t find a single neon sign today that combines real porcelain enamel with genuine neon. And honestly, that doesn’t surprise us. Working with porcelain enamel takes skill. It’s time-consuming and expensive—but worth it.

That’s why every one of our neon signs is made with real porcelain enamel. It’s not just about looks—it’s about durability, longevity, and the unmistakable feel of a high-quality sign. When you combine true neon with porcelain enamel, the difference isn’t just visible—it’s something you can feel.

What’s the Difference Between a Skeleton Frame and a Neon Can?
Most modern neon signs use an open-face skeleton frame—a budget-friendly mounting style that took over the market in the 1980s. It was a simple, cost-effective solution for bars, businesses, and collectors who wanted affordable neon without the added expense of a full enclosure.

But if you look at most vintage neon signs, they weren’t made that way. Instead, they had an enclosed metal casing, known as the “can.” These neon cans provided structural support, protected the electrical components, and added durability. More than that, they gave the sign a bold, premium look—one that’s mostly disappeared today because of cost-cutting.

We believe it’s time to do things the old way again.

Our neon signs are something to be proud of—handcrafted one at a time, using the best materials and made by the most talented artisans. Designed by a fellow vintage lover, our Neon Collection is a testament to American craftsmanship and a tribute to the past. We understand they won’t be for everyone, but for those who know the difference, nothing else will do.

Each sign is made-to-order, allowing us to offer the largest selection of designs and sizes. Please note that the current lead time for special orders is approximately 6-8 weeks.

Our Mission

Our Mission Is Simple

To honor the past and the iconic brands that shaped it by building authentic, high-quality reproductions—the kind made with real porcelain enamel, heavy-gauge steel, and hand-blown glass. Just like the originals.

But this goes deeper than materials.

We aim to:

  • Uphold the values these brands were built on: quality, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Protect their legacy: giving loyal fans a way to display their passion—without settling for junk or breaking the bank.

Many of the designs we reproduce are believed to be in the public domain or come from brands no longer in operation. We take intellectual property rights seriously and make every effort to avoid infringing on active trademarks. Whenever possible, we pursue official licensing to ensure our work reflects the standards and values these brands deserve.

We’re a young company, and it hasn’t been easy to reach the right people yet. But we’re trying.
We’re sending emails, making calls, and doing everything we can to open the right doors.

So until we do, we’re donating 10% of our profits to foundations and charities tied to the brands we recreate—because if we can’t shake hands with them yet, we can still show respect where it’s due.

This isn’t just nostalgia.
It’s about doing things the right way.
Because some things are worth preserving.

Current Production Time

Each neon sign is handmade from scratch using hand-blown glass, porcelain enamel, and heavy steel cans—all of which are notoriously frustrating to work with.

We're confident you'll love your sign. Everyone says it's better than expected but please note our neon has taken approximately 10-14 weeks to ship.

We know that’s a wait, but good things take time—and the end result is a premium, authentic piece built to last.

Common Questions & Answers About Porcelain Advertising and Our Porcelain & Neon Signs

We keep things simple and honest—just like the signs we make. Below you’ll find answers to common questions about our materials, process, shipping, returns, and what makes our porcelain signs different from the rest. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, reach out—we’re always happy to help.

What makes your porcelain signs different from others on the market?

Our signs are crafted using a 20-step vintage finishing technique that ensures authenticity and unmatched quality. Each piece is handmade to replicate the look and feel of original vintage porcelain signs, setting us apart from cheaper, mass-produced reproductions.

Are your signs original vintage pieces?

No, our signs are high-quality reproductions. We focus on recreating classic designs with the same materials and craftsmanship used in the originals. However, we do not sell them as antiques, and we ask our customers to avoid reselling them as originals.

What materials do you use to make your signs?

We use heavy-gauge steel and baked enamel porcelain coatings, just like the original manufacturing methods. This process ensures durability, vibrant colors, and a timeless appearance.

Can I resell these signs as originals?

Absolutely not. While our signs are incredibly authentic in appearance, they are modern reproductions. Misrepresenting them as originals violates our values and transparency as a company.

Do you offer custom designs?
